Fallen leaves

You need to cherish each day. Life is short, be happy.

Keep your surroundings happy.
Be optimistic. Be hopeful.
Be cheerful for yourself and others.

Everyday I choose to be happy amidst all the chaos,
I choose it consciously, subconsciously and rationally.
I brace my emotions and wear them like jewels,
Ruby grief, emerald hope, sapphire dreams,
Set in the crown of my fragile existence.

The pond, the vibe, the lake, old stairs, and fallen leaves.
They all remind me of the seasons I have felt and left with grace.
In the meanwhile, the fallen angel whispers in my ears,
“Don’t fall,
Fallen leaves have no value.”

But I scolded him and said,
“Hey, don’t you see the beauty in the autumn?!
Fallen leaves carry it.”

They teach us how to let go
with grace,
How to descend without despair,
How to nourish the soil after being forgotten.
Isn’t that divine?

I walk through the rustling mosaics of amber memories
and see how endings paint beginnings anew.
The moon glows like a secret guardian
of all silent survivors
who smile anyway.

Life is not always a blazing sun —
Sometimes it is the quiet courage of leaves
choosing to fall with dignity.

So I breathe, I pray, I rise —
Like a soft rebellion against sorrow.
And every night, I gift myself
one more promise:
Happiness is my jihad,
Hope is my worship,
Joy… my eternal protest
against the unfairness of fate or Taqdeer or subconscious, whatever you name it baby!
