Innocent eyes

I was an ancient archive filled with beauty and mystery,

Which of the remnants will you find of that within me?

Yes, love was there at its best like the finest wine,

More tastier and valuable when aged but kept hidden under the cave,

Yes, that love is lost but never forgotten,

Left its stain- never to be faded away,

A permanent ink,

Love was there in the waves of the seashore,

But, just like tides and ebb can't flow together,

That love couldn't mingle at the summit,

Love was there in the silent springs,

You said you melted like a candle in my love,

I said, you can melt but don't fade away,

Be a blooming flower in my love but don't flatter around like a bee,

Lit like a candle but never evaporate,

Love me like your favorite song,

Listen to its rhythm on the loop but hide it,

I know I am close to your heart but you must stay distant,

Because once two lovers are lost in the storm then no spring can unite them until its time,

The time when a new city peaks in the busy streets after the storm,

When the civilization grows to taste that century-old wine, sip by sip-well-prepared this time,

When the lost pages of the storybook are written newly on the brink of eyes,

As if nothing happened- you are still sacred with all your scars- still beautiful,

Your innocent eyes- filled with love and devotion that I could never forget,

This world is not for you-I have seen modesty in your eyes that I could never find in anyone's again.

Maybe time will align us one day, may be not,

May be your soul will reappear to sing with mine in another lifetime,

Regret and solitude is the punishment your soul gets when avoided such love of purest form,

Incapable of loving someone else is the redemption for loosing a soul-mate connection,

Lifetimes will pass away but I won't find a love like yours- it was one of a kind!

A modest love at its fragility still lingers in our heartbeats,

Gently reminding It's existence,

Yes, I lost you and you were the only one!

We were meant to be yet unbounded,

We were to be together yet never to be an union,

Just like the distant stars belonging in the same ash skyline, or just as the crazy sunlight,

Too bright for eyes  but too dim for lightening up the stars entirely!

Your love remains as a memory in my heart,

Too deep to be held on, and too faint to be fought for!
