Commemorating Chekhov

I live in the relics of ancient wisdom,

I deliberately never wanted to become modern!

I live in the imaginary - the unseen,

I live in knowing about the ancestors- buried,

I live reading their novels and fictions,

History and geography,

Astronomy and technology- side by side,

I don't walk among and mingle with the contemporary people,

Is it a weakness or strength?!

I don't know!

I live in the relics of ancient wisdom,

Those who encapsulated my heart,

Those with whom I can align my new found thoughts and introspections,

Those who held me tight when I was in despair,

My reading angels and guardians!

Chekhov, you were my staples amidst all the great thinkers!

Your life and your visions! grappled me tightly, never losing grips, your spirit captured me with your sharp wit!

And, your life-struggles and visions?!

I took a pledge cause somehow they resembled mine, and I cannot relate more- in  flare and in hibernation,

In sheer determination and good will,

Your inner voice echoed mine, entangled for life, resonated so deeply, Dear Chekhov, I do not mind delving deep into you, Immerse deep-again and again!

You are my first love, Ideal man for whom I fell and after then, I lived in an idealism,

Idealizing you in every men!

You are unparalleled -

Men I have ever encountered or conversed with,-

Could never match you nor your idiosyncracy!

Alas! I have always loved men of fictions- from fiction, A fiction freak fixated on you for life!
