Cupid & Psyche-Part 5
Epilogue: The Universe Remembers Them
- the cosmos speaks of two souls who loved outside their destiny
Listen closely, wanderer ....
For the stars still carry
their names in the quietest pulse of light.
Not every love becomes a legend.
Not every longing becomes myth.
But Cupid and Psyche.......
They were the rare kind.
the kind that left scars on fate itself.
You ask what became of them?
And what happened to them?
I will tell you.
Cupid lived out his days bound to another’s warmth,
offering smiles that never reached the deepest chambers of his heart.
He loved, yes....
But lightly, carefully,
As if afraid that any devotion too strong
would awaken a memory he was forbidden to keep.
His laugh echoed in temples.
His touch is kind, his arrows precise....
But his soul remained half-lit
like a lantern missing its eternal flame.
And Psyche..............!
Oh, Psyche walked the earth with a quiet ache,
Carrying the ghost of a god she could no longer name.
She loved wrongly once,
Deeply twice,
and tenderly in fragments thereafter.
She trusted again.
But cautiously;
She hoped again.
But shakily;
And every new beginning felt like touching the edge
of a fate she once defied.
People called her wise.
People called her strong.
But none knew the echo she carried...
The shadows she hid,
The reflections she shows were actually
of a kiss that bent worlds,
and a loss that unmade them.
Yet this is not a story of reunion....
No.
Some threads remain severed.
Some destinies refuse to be rewritten.
And some loves,
No matter how cosmic,
They are meant only to be felt.
Not lived.
Cupid never returned.
Psyche never forgot...
Even if her memory was torn from her,
Her soul carried the imprint like
an armor, a burn, a stitch.
And I.....
the universe....!
Still feel the tremor of what they were:
A god who loved too sincerely,
and a woman who loved too humanly.
Human love always falters.
Always betrays, gets directionless, but not God's love!
Their love did not survive fate.
Their story did not defy Saturn.
They died in separate worlds.
Holding separate hands,
Breathing separate futures...
Yet longing for something
they could never reclaim.
But do not pity them, wanderer.
Their tragedy became a constellation.
Their longing became a wind that crosses worlds.
Their unfinished love
became the quiet ache in all who search
for someone who feels like destiny,
Who feels like home....!
So when you look at the stars,
Remember this:
Some souls meet once,
Burn the sky apart,
and spend the rest of eternity
wandering for what they lost.
Such were Cupid and Psyche.
Not lovers in the end....
Not homies living beside the mountain,
But immortal echoes
in a universe
that still mourns them.
