Blue Whale

There was an ocean within me once,

It was deep,blue,wide.

In that deep blue ocean-

Tides shone so bright,

Faith precipitated as salt- it tasted sweet until all flavours faded away,

Beneath the ebbs and tides- a love formed on the aisles!

Between a mermaid and a whale!

As if fated union.

A canon of fire blew right in front of the invisible castles of doubts, as if something lingering is yet to happen,

Just then the missiles of hope were thrown away in despair and desperation!

As if a parade of mockery will show on the day!

A love formed so immeasurable that was one of a kind!

Then an imposter came in a disguise of a storm in my calm ocean to stir waves!

Without any noise, without any declaration of warfare,

He attacked my sails.

In the deepest blue of the sea,

He devoured every ounce of love alive in me.

Just like a giant blue whale, he ended me.

In his big stomach lie my vows,

My vanity- my erroneous sanctity!

The big appetite of his left me scouring for any insanity!

In the sanctuary of boundaries- I live now bounded, shackled in my old fears-

that don't know what love feels like anymore!

Who looks for a blue whale in every scavenging fish in the sea.

Now, no sands slip away from my shore,

I have engulfed an entire island of silence within me!

No tides run in my chest.

No birds go far away from their nest.

Only a few bad memories float like a coral on the sandy beach,

And they stink, as if spreading awareness to not to fall in the hunger trap of the blue whales.

Like a blue whale you devoured the entire sea of love in my chest!

 Sometimes I wonder,

Can love be truly disposable? Can love actually disappear with time?

Or, does a blue whale all consuming- with its immense hunger feeds on the human heart as well?!

Inside your cruelest tummy,

There remains perhaps my incomplete embraces, gasping for breath- maybe someday they used to breath in your name.

The letters were never redeemed.

The apologies no one heard.

The words 'stay' never uttered.

Yet, something shattered.

Slowly and eventually,

A hall room of heart and bouquet of love scattered - into pieces, one after another.

And, me?

I never blamed the sea.

Cause, I know.....it was never cruel to me!

Brutal was the blue whale coming softly to engorge all the love I had stored for infinity.

The universe within me screamed for survival,

For a come back, a renewal, perhaps, a revival!

The wiggle left me with one final truth;

Sometimes the emptiness inside a human is deeper than the ocean itself,

And sometimes love, probably, is lost in the blues.
